Bugaboo's 'Cameleon' and 'Gecko' to replace trendy, spendy 'Frog'

bugaboo cameleonBugaboo's Frog stroller has won dozens of awards - and been the center of every parental ethics discussion over the last few years. Is it o.k. to spend upwards of $700 on a stroller? Are $1,000 diaper bags a display of gross excess when many parents have to scrimp just to keep their kids in clean diapers?

Bugaboo, clearly, is above this discussion and coming out with two brand-new, super-duper strollers. The Cameleon (which a prospective daddy reader is promising to buy) is a pram-style stroller with interchangeable fabric canopies. The Gecko is a delightfully slim, rear-facing version with the signature sturdy wheels and frame.

It’s worth mentioning, though, that while this seems to be a legitimate site, they have tons of mis-spellings (well, it is a Netherlands company…), they have their web site separate from the “official” Bugaboo site, and you’re to only contact bugaboocameleon.com for updates, including the release date. So while I’m reasonably sure this is an actual to-be-released Bugaboo product line, it is theoretically possible that it’s not.

Thanks for the tip Patrick.
