Brazilian baby born at 16.7 pounds
Categories: Pregnancy & Birth
No one will be surprised when they hear that Francisca Ramos dos Santos' fifth child was born via c-section. Not, that is, when they hear that Ademilton was a "giant," weighing in at 16.7 pounds (7.57 kg). His mom said she knew he was going to be big - but not that big! All of her other four children weighed between 7.7 and 11 pounds (3.5 - 5 kg). He was the largest baby born at the Albert Sabin Maternity Hospital, in Salvador, Brazil, in its 12-year history.
