Meet the Bickersons
For the last, let's say three months, I've anxiously anticipated the day my daughter would start back at school.
That day came and went this week and I thought, because I was foolishly optimistic, that things would be easier now
that one half of my two children whom I affectionately call "The Bickersons" was gone. I thought, 'Thank
goodness, no more bickering!' I also thought, 'Now Max can use all of Madison's toys and she won't be able to stop
him.' I thought, 'Max is easier to entertain because he's younger!'
At 3.5 days into the school year, I can now say, with absolute certainty: I was wrong. It's true there is no more
bickering all day. However, it turns out Max's favorite form of entertainment is bickering with his sister. Now that
there is no sister to bicker with there is skin-melting whining in it's place. For example, at 8:45 a.m. (school starts
at 8:25) he began insisting we "...go pick up Maddie nooooow." Luckily, in just 11 days (on my birthday, Happy
Birthday!) school starts for Maxwell three (3!) mornings a week. Until then, watch out for that puddle, it's my
face…melted on the floor.

I am looking into boarding preschools.
