New organic baby food from Ulula
Categories: Eating & Nutrition
Treehugger reports that a UK based family owned company, Ulula, has come out with a new baby food. What makes this one so special? Not only is it organic, but it is also byodynamic. From what I gather, biodynamic is like the spiritual side of oranic farming. The part that attracted me, though, was that they have products for infants with allergies to gluten and cow protein. Very nice to see a company so aware of babies with food allergies.

Biodynamics is not "the spiritual side of organic farming." It's a European approach to agriculture that emphasizes the total ecosystem, e.g. planting companion crops to attract beneficial insects instead of using pesticide. Some info is available from Benziger Winery, (http://www.benziger.com/vineyards/biodynamics.php), a biodynamic vineyard in Sonoma, which is where I learned about it.
