Ah dang! Ew! I know, I actually said "Ew". It's how I feel about the fact that TomKat is spawning. I'm a mother of two with PPD, on Zoloft (the horror), and pretty much can't stand Tom Cruise anymore after his insensitive comments about Brooke Sheild's battle with PPD.

I SINCERELY HOPE THAT KATIE (or "Kate", as Tom's renamed her) DOESN'T SUFFER FROM PPD. I REALLY, REALLY, REEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAALY HOPE SHE DOESN'T.

I'm happy for any couple (especially celebrities) that agnore all and profess their love for each other. So even if Tom and Katie were not my favorite couple, my up bringing wouldn't allow me to wish nothing but the best for any man and woman who are in love and expecting their first child together.

I think this entire thing is childish. How can you know someone especially movie stars in less than 2 months they are engaged and then the next 2 months expecting a baby? I think that is a little irresponsible. More power to them, but they will probably end up just another failed statistic. And then she is going to covert to Scientology? She's Catholic! Hello, that's a big leap. I think that's just the whole dazed and confused talk going on there. Come back to the real world and think for yourself Katie or should I say Kate. The whole idea of a silent delivery and not nuturing a child is a bunch of bull. She will wake up and smell the roses just like Nicole did. I think all these critics should get together and criticize each other into depression, and then run to the med's they've been touting for some relief. And if that doesn't work, then they should get involuntarily committed, and undergo the ECT and Lobotomies they so admiringly advocate. Brooke & Nicole can go wallow in their misery together, with a bottle of Paxil by their side to comfort them.

I wish Tom and Katie nothing but the best for a happy future, and drug-free family.

I thought she was a virgin? OH yeah right...we knew better. What's up with this, bringing a baby into this world when they have been together such a short time? It's just not resposible and celebrities should live under the same ethics and morals as all of us do. What happened to birth control? It's not like they can't afford it. Get real...ya know!!! Very sad because they seem to live in another world and even sadder is that kids are subjected to broken homes the majority of the time in the celebrity world. Be responsible...what happened to taking time and making sure the relationship is gonna work? Why rush it? I guess cuz they can...sad but true.

Wow...this just goes to prove how weak-minded many people (especially celebrities) are. Katie Holmes was going to be a virgin until marriage. And now she's gone and adopted Tom's wacko Scientology philosophy and will have the baby in silence? I have no respect for Katie Holmes, because I see her becoming exactly what Tom wants rather than sticking to her guns. I see a girl who wasn't all that popular before really feeding off the celebrity she has gained as of late. It's revolting. Likewise, I certainly have no respect for Tom Cruise for either letting her or making her change her ideas and convictions for him. I'm convinced that not ALL celebrities are nuts, but it seems the most famous and talked-about ones are.

Gena and Donna.... I totally agree with you. I was beginning to think there wasn't anyone else out there that had any common sense. I think there is life outside of Hollywood and they are not the ones that need to be role models and ruling the world. Since when is Mr. Hubbard (founder of Scientology)an authority on how to live your life? Every one needs to come back to the simple rules of life and lead a Christian life. Just because they don't like anyone else's religion or beliefs does not mean they can go out there and create their own religion. It's like a cult. That's my thoughts and everyone has a right to share theirs, but more people need to speak out about what is right and wrong.

Emma, Scientology is absolutely repulsive to me. The more I read and learn about this cult, the more I despise it. It is truly for the weak-minded. The "silent birth" thing is new to me, and is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I hope Katie Holmes has quadruplets, and I hope they are GIANT, basketball-headed babies. Let's see how silent she will be then. Wait...I don't mean that...poor babies...their parents would be crazy, and they don't deserve that.

You know, I never was a big Tom Cruise fan, but I never realized until recently when he shot off his big mouth about psychiatry how ignorant he is. And this is coming from someone who is somewhat anti-drug herself.

I do agree that mental health drugs are overused in this country, as I believe that many cases of minor depression and anxiety can be treated with simple lifestyle changes. However, there is a true medical purpose for many people to be on psychiatric drugs. I work in a hospital and deal a lot with the psychiatric patients. I wonder if Tom Cruise has tried to sit down and speak with someone who is schizophrenic. A simple pep talk won't make them better...it won't snap them out of psychosis or catatonia. Chemical imbalances and poor neurological "wiring" are a medical fact. And Tom Cruise, with his abundant knowledge of psychiatry, should know that better than anyone.

I thought this guy was an actor. Maybe he should do more movie acting and less acting like a physician. He is simply regurgitating Hubbard's beliefs without doing any thinking of his own.

What ever happened to Nicole and Tom not able to get pregnant? What ever happened to Tom divorcing Nicole because she was pregnant and he was not able to get her pregnant so she must have cheated on him in order to get pregnant? Why is no one talking about this issue?
