Christmas morning sleep tip: Give books
Do you dread having to get up at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning? Would you like to get some extra sleep? Alayne VanWagoner of Centerville, Utah tells Family Fun magazine about a great tip that helps her buy time on Christmas morning. She gives each of her children a book, wraps it, and leaves it at the foot of their beds. The kids are allowed to open the book as soon as they wake up on Christmas morning. (Just one book? How 'bout a stack! I'm tired!) The book gift gives her multi-age children a "quiet moment" to really enjoy their new book—a book that might otherwise get lost in the shuffle of shinier, flashier presents. Great idea, Alayne!
