The baby swiffer: Japanese inventor creates "Baby Mop"
When my daughter was just starting to scooch herself around the hardwood floors, I wish I'd
have gotten a nickle for every time someone said "Put a swiffer under her and you'll never need to mop the floors!" I'd
have had a dollar in nickles by the time she actually learned how to crawl.
Well, a Japanese company apparently took such folksy wisdom to heart and manufactured a suit for your little scoocher to wear across the floors, taking the idea that your child could be a valued part of your housecleaning team one step further.
I don't think this is entirely serious (a Japanese commercial for this product appeared at the beginning of a recent Jet music video for "Roll Over DJ"), but the Japanese are known for their Chindogu ("silly/useless inventions"). I wouldn't put it past them.

Hmmmm, I don`t know if this is a joke! When we lived in Tokyo, I stocked up on SWEEPER SLIPPERS -- same idea, but for feet. They made great presents for people. They were kind of self-explanatory, but they did have helpful instructions (all in Japanese, of course) and also had nifty little illustrations of happy housewives (always wives) sweeping the floor while they did other chores.

It most certainly is. But i wouldn't be surprised if the japanese actually made something for that for real.
