Christmas shopping for the anti-consumer, Part 5: Infant and kids clothing

This week I've been writing about kid's products handmade in the USA (and Canada) by artists, independent designers, small companies and individual craftfolks. This morning I highlighted a dozen or so websites by people who are designing and silkscreening unique t-shirts and onesies, and now I'll follow up on a few folks who are making other kinds of kids clothing by hand.

Baby clothing is cute by nature of its size alone, so companies like the Gap and Carter's get away with selling uninspired, poorly-designed and poorly-manufactured clothing with boring fabrics for way more than they should be able to get away with. If you know of anyone else who makes great kids clothes and sells them on the internet, please leave a name and a link in the comments and I’d be glad to add them.
