Christmas presents. Sleepy eyes. Carefully-tied ribbons. Neatly folded paper corners. Boxes secured from the ubiquitous mall clothing stores. Toys, bubble bath, books, puzzles, candy. Everyone in their jammies. A calm before the storm. Then suddenly, chaos.

This photo of unwrapping gifts spoke to me of that excitement, and craziness, that occurs when we give gifts to our children. The excitement and the madness. Photo from Cathy McCaughan.
