Graco crib recalled

The Aspen 3 in 1 crib is being recalled because the screws on the wooden mattress support can come loose causing the mattress to fall posing a suffocation threat. The company has recieved 14 reports of the mattress support coming loose.

The recalled cribs are made of wood and have the wooden mattress support. Only the cribs with the wooden mattress support are part of this recall. The model number is 8740KCW SC and serial number 2803 SC to 1605. You can find the model and serial number on the envelope attached to the mattress support. The cribs were sold between August 2003 and May 2005 at department stores and children's product stores.

Call the manufacturer Simplicity Inc at (800) 784-1982 or visit the Web site at www.simplicityforchildren.com to get a retrofit kit.
