Where the Wild Things Are to be a movie

One of my family's favorite books is 'Where the Wild Things Are' so I was happy to hear rumblings of a movie project over at our sister blog, Cinematical. I guess the idea has been in development hell for years but now Warner Brothers has acquired the rights.

Warner Bros. has hired Spike Jonze to direct the film from a script he wrote with Dave Eggers. It's a children's movie but it won't be animated, though expect computer animation mixed with live actors. My own wild thing also named Max, will be thrilled.
