iBaby stroller for parents who can't live without iPods
My son, Nolan, recently had a lesson at school
called "Circles are Everywhere!" Everytime he sees a circle, he says, "Mom, look - a circle! Circles are
evvvvverywhere." The biggest laugh came when he saw the circle on my iPod Nano and repeated the mantra. But it's
not just circles that are everywhere - the infamous iPod that is everywhere. Even on baby
clothes. And let me confess it now - I love iPods. My iPod Nano should just be attached to me like a Nicotine patch
because I take it everywhere. But there are those of you who hate iPods so I implore you - stop reading now!The latest issue of Parenting magazine made mention of a product by Kolcraft: the iBaby stroller. The reclining umbrella stroller has a docking station for your iPod or iPod mini, and get this - a SPEAKER! So now you and junior can listen to tunes while you're out for a stroll. It comes in pastels, which I'm not a big fan of since I have two boys But the kicker? It doesn't break the bank. The iBaby stroller retails for US$49.99.
No, I'm not running out and buying one. My garage is already a stroller parking lot. While I think the product is a wee bit cool, I'd feel a little strange walking down the street with music blaring from my stroller. I might as well be carrying a boom box on my shoulder. But apparently alot of folks really dig it because it's on backorder at Sears and other stores.
Anyone have the iBaby stroller? Is it all that?

I don't have an iBaby stroller, but my Combi Ultra Savvy has speakers in the canopy for use with my iPod or any other portable music player. You really can't hear the music outside the canopy area.
It seemed like a great idea (though it wasn't the reason we picked that stroller), but we don't really use it that much. Maybe when my son gets a little older we'll use it more.

I believe one of Combi's Savvy Soho models also has a place for an MP3 player. When I was shopping for a light weight stroller I thought I had read about it. I think more & more strollers are going to start having a place to plug in your iPod or MP3 player. I know my son would love to listen to Laurie Berkner as we strolled the neighborhood.
I don't think this is nearly as strange as my son's winter jacket (I bought at Target) has an inside pocket for an MP3 player!

I love my Jeep stroller. It has speakers too. I get some odd looks but Ben and I love to listen to music. I bet it's very popular to soup up strollers.

Okay at 2T with an iPod pocket... that's a bit much. But the stroller idea is amazing. NOT that I'll need it with a 7 and 8 year old! :-)
