Woman asked to stop breastfeeding at YMCA

An Ann Arbor, Michigan woman was asked to stop breastfeeding her 6-month-old daughter in the swimming area of the Y while her older son had his swimming lesson. The program director says she was asked to stop because there is no food or drink allowed in the pool area and exceptions cannot be made. The mother says she was told breastfeeding by the pool created a distraction for the lifeguards.

I wonder who's telling the truth, I have a feeling it was the "distraction", but here's two words for the lifeguards: "Grow. Up." Michigan exempts breastfeeding from public nudity statutes, however a woman's right to breastfeed in public places is not protected by legislation.
