Yes, I'm
guilty of letting the kids soak in the TV goodness while sick. We were just watching Nick Jr. and Everett says to me,
"mom, can we get that bideo some day?" I look up at the TV, and what do you know: it's Curious George. The funny little monkey is coming out onto the big
screen, with his friend the Man in the Yellow Hat, February 10.
From the previews, the movie looks to be full of the usual slapstick stuff you see in Curious George books - they visit the Natural History Museum and knock over some dinosaur bones. Etc. But I bet you and I both will ultimately say "yes" to the question from our kids and get that bideo!

David said...I caught an advance screening with my 3 year old son this weekend. He really enjoyed it and is not even familliar with the books. We were also accompanied by a 2 1/2 year old girl and her parents who were taking her to the theatre for the first time. She enjoyed it as well. No real scary spots and there was no crying in the theatre which was packed here in Toronto. Not much for the adults, but it was cute and they do give the "Man in the Yellow Hat" a name :-)
