Is Katie Holmes faking her pregnancy?

How many of you think that Katie Holmes is really pregnant with Tom Cruise's baby? Me? I think their whole
relationship is a publicity stunt, Katie's been rockin' a fake belly since the pregnancy was announced, and Tom is
whack-job. I'm taking the "prove me wrong" stance regarding their partnership and pregnancy.For those that agree that her pregnancy is one, big, creepy hoax, Tara, a Pink Is The New Blog reader, created a Katie Holmes photo timeline that just might prove us right. (Click the link to view the photos up close and personal.) The photos show Katie with alternately large and small bellies depending on the day. What do you think? Is it the cut of her clothes? The camera angle? How she's standing? Is Katie Holmes really pregnant? You be the judge.

Hmmm. Hard to say. I know my belly always looked bigger or smaller depending on what shirt I was wearing.

I remember when the discussion about how far along she was took place this fall. With the belly-button poking out already, people were guessing about five months along. That would puther due date right around (or a couple weeks before) mine. Let's just say that with four-six weeks till the due date now, her tummy should be HUGE. That's not what I was seeing. Hmm. Any current photos out there?

That photo timeline is just deceiving on purpose. If you bother to look on Katie Holmes sites before writing something like that, you would see that from those same days there are pics where the pregnancy is definitively showing. It is all in the angle, clothes and distance from where the pics are taken.

There's a part of me that's embarrassed for even paying attention to this thing, but I'll put that aside for now. It's not the size of her belly that disturbs me; I didn't gain that much and I've known women who barely looked pregnant until the last minute. What gets me is the "up, down" effect noted in the collage. I think the "popped belly button" thing was photoshopped, but it seems she hasn't grown consistently. I can't imagine why they would fake a pregnancy, really, but they don't seem "normal", so I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

What could've been so wrong with Katie's life pre-Cruise that she would have to stoop to such a level to get back into the spotlight? I'm of the mind that this relationship is a total farce, for publicity, though I can't see how it's helping Katie's professional life at all. God help her IF she really is pregnant cause I predict she's not going to live happily ever after with Cruise. I feel so bad for her.

Totally fake! Plus I heard through a series of probably unreliable sources and some maybe not so unreliable that there was a contract involved. Ick!

Plus she is tall, with a long torso and has not put on much weith anyway (minus on the backside).

Let's be serious. Why the hell would Tom and Katie fake a pregnancy. People are just being cynical and ridiculous. Like dreamer65 said, the blogger obviously chose those pictures to "prove" her point. The blogger is just being deceitful. If you look at other pictures from the same days, you would see that Katie's belly as been progressively growing. Maybe people should just leave Tom and Katie alone for once and stop scrutinizing every little thing they do. People should just let them enjoy their pregnancy in peace.

I'm on the fence. It seems INSANE to fake a pregnancy, but if anyone has reason to do it, it's Tom Cruise. Katie Holmes' career wasn't exactly booming before this little fiasco, so it's entirely plausable. There have been differences in belly pics, and she looked pretty far along when they took some of those in Oct, but now she looks only a few months along again. This is her first pregnancy, so it doesn't seem like she should be showing so quickly. All in all, it's strange, and we'll have to wait and see.

I don't know why I am even commenting on this subject, but I just find it really crazy that anyone would even take the time to put together a timeline of Katie's pregnancy. And to be perfectly honest with everyone, who cares if she is pregnant or not!!! If she is then great for them, if she isn't.. that's her issue to deal with not the worlds.

Ok, so I've lurked around this website for a few weeks but never felt the urge to comment.. until now. I have to say that the time line and pictures are unfair! Some of them she is standing partially behind someone, some of them she is wearing loose shirts, some she is wearing tight shirts... of course your belly is going to look different each time. Some people carry different, not everyone pops out in the front! One of my friends carried so far "in" that you couldn't even tell she was pregnant until she was 7 months along. The pregnancy isn't fake... it makes it all sound like a bad VC Andrews novel.

What I have seen in pictures (not just the timeline ones) is a belly that got big really fast and then stopped. She looks the same size she was 3 or 4 months ago.. Is that normal? I have known many smaller girls to not show for quite a long time, then suddenly get big. Not visa versa.

The thing that bothers me about all of the negative comments toward her is that:
None of you seem to understand pregnancy... Did you forget that a baby MOVES inside the womb. This creates different shapes and belly sizes!
As someone noted, it can take a LONG time to show, and sometimes, a woman will look the same until the last minute. Belly buttons can also pop out and suck back in.... It's unfair to generalize a pregnant woman's body and just assume her belly gets bigger and bigger, and then her navel pops out, and then she gives birth.
That's just not the way it works... Looking at pictures is a completely INACCURATE way to tell if someone is pregnant.. Aside from the fact that they can be altered at any time.

Actually what tina said is true, I experienced the different shapes and sizes when I was pregnant with my last child. I had "fat days" and "little pregnant bump days" and would spend a lot of time during fat days to determine what made me look smaller..........

In addition to the "shrinking/growing/shrinking tummy: remember the pictures of her "ice skating" at Rockefeller Center in the rain at 1:00 in the morning!! then a few days later "snowmobiling" in the mountains. what pregnant woman would take those chances - unless you're a pro - I certainly would not have. I just find this very hard to believe... While its incredible to believe they would fake it; they just seem to act so bizarre....

I would marry Tom Cruise's dumbass tomorrow and you know why, b/c I've always been in love with him AND I'm strong enough to make my own pregnancy (and life) decisions and I know more about my body than he ever will...ever think that just b/c he makes stupid comments about ppd doesn't mean that katie agrees?

Ok, I don't think they're really faking - but my god, I'd hate to be in her shoes. Tom is a certified crackpot and I wouldn't want his kid to raise, with or without his influence in my life or the child's! Anyone here ever look up the *origin* of Scientology?? It was a JOKE between a couple of guys to see if people would actually follow a faith that made such outrageous claims. They believe we're all **aliens**. Yeah. Not joking. And whether or not Katie agrees with EVERYTHING he says (which was brought up in another comment) she *did* convert to this messed up religion. Something is very wrong, even if it's not her belly.
