First Australian-based child pornography site shut down

Morning Herald: Police have shut down the first Australian-based child pornography site and arrested its
creator. The site had been operating for 18 months. Tipped by Interpol in Burssels, police raided the man's
home, siezed his computers and arrested him. Australian Federal Police national economic and special operations
manager Peter Drennan said distributing and downloading child pornography via the internet was a serious crime."Today's arrest is an example of how police agencies and international law enforcement partners worldwide are working together to prevent the distribution of child pornography through the internet."
