Homemade Floam

Ellen at Beyond Satire shares a recipe for
homemade Floam. My children and the friends of my children have been begging for this thing. Which I'll guess
will be exciting for about 3 days and then forgotten in the craft closet forevermore.Making it might just be the perfect solution for us. [Link via Parent Hacks]

However, reading the comments on the BeyondSatire post confirmed my suspicions -- that Floam is probably not worth the trouble. (Especially for a mom who thinks Play-Doh is too messy.) I've been avoiding the Floam thing by letting the kids make homemade clay shapes instead.
If anyone out there is still trying to find Floam and doesn't have Borax on hand, Target is carrying Floam for around $7/container.
