Fifty
children aged 4-12 hit the catwalk Monday during a special kids' fashion show sponsored by Child magazine. According to a Yahoo article, "the models wore
miniature outfits by such top design names as Bill Blass and Kenneth Cole, all of which will be auctioned off for
charity." "Regular' kids modeled alongside the children of celebrities like 50 Cent and Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons. The article goes on to say that "many of the tiny models smiled, some tentatively, as they walked down a catwalk normally reserved for experienced professionals. A few blew kisses, although several looked frightened and one small boy walked the runway with a tear running down his face."
The children were chosen from 250 candidates found at open casting calls by editors of the magazine. The focus of the show was "personality," rather than sexiness. Thanks for tip, Bonnie!
