girl's name choices in Australia. Registry spokeswoman Alana Sheil said it was possible the rapid climb was due to the celebrity factor. "It's a bit of a trend for parents that they like to choose the same names as celebrities," she said.
Hmm. Personally, I think "Mia" is a lovely name, and I'd consider it despite what celebrities chose. But I suspect that the allure of celebrity babies that Larissa Brown mentioned does have something to do with the rise, as well.
