Great gift for your budding artist

Carissa of 5 Dollars tipped us off to her winning birthday gift pick. They gave their daughter Ed Emberley's Complete Funprint Drawing Book  for her birthday and she's created some lovely artwork out of it.

I've picked up some mini Ed Emberley notepad kits as small birthday gifts to have on hand for when I forget about that 11am Saturday birthday party. Not that I would ever be that disorganized to forget a child's birthday. Ahem. They're a big hit with the recipients.

If you're not sure the books would work well for your kids, check out Emberley's site for a sneak peek. But I have a feeling your child will love the idea of sticking his thumb in ink and using a few simple lines to create art.
