tycoon-turned-TV-star Donald Trump telling the women on The View that if his 24-year-old ex-model daughter
Ivanka wasn't his daughter, he would date her. Direct quote: She does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.
In a word? Gross.
According to the Celebrity Baby Blog, today, there is fall-out (oh, really?) with his publicists scrambling to explain that he "was absolutely joking." Maybe so, but it isn't the first time he's said something that makes the eyes roll.

daisy said...There's some important context missing. Trump was asked if Ivanka would ever pose for Playboy. He said he didn't think she would, even though she does have a nice figure. The context gives a bit more meaner. I don't think it's that weird--it was an off-hand comment, a joke, that people took way too seriously!

Qusan said...I saw him say that on The View and took it as a joke because I thought the same thing. His daughter is very pretty and the first thing that came to my mind was that if she wasn't his daughter, he'd be trying to date her.
I knew it was going to be taken out of context and made to sound worse than it was. At least he isn't one of those guys who pretends that his daughter isn't a grown, attractive, and yes, sexy woman. I think he's a bit of a whoremonger but I think that he is very proud of how his children have turned out - both physically and intellectually.
