Easy energy boost for busy moms and dads

Filed under: Health & Safety: Babies, That's Entertainment

8 minutes in the morningNo, not uppers. Something else, and something good for you in so many ways. For years now, my wife and I have been doing the Jorge Cruise Eight Minutes in the Morning program. Aside from the serendipitous weight loss (we did not do the diet plan part of it, just the exercise), we enjoyed an amazing increase in our energy levels.

Then along came Owen. We were able to keep up with the exercises sporadically, but it all depended on what type of night Owen had and what kind of morning we were all having. It would seem easy enough, to use free weights to work two muscle groups a day, approximating only eight minutes of time, right? Well, for some reason we made every excuse in the book (and I don't mean this one.)

How silly of us. I mean, when you have a child, you still have to do for yourself, but alas we stopped the workout program. So, this week, we renewed our commitment and began again. We craved the fitness and metabolism increase. What we had forgotten about was the amount of energy we gained from the simple exercises each morning. It was almost immediate -- no longer did we crash on the couch when Owen finally went to bed. Instead, we have been taking a renewed interest in a clutter-free home and enjoying the clean kitchen. Things are getting painted in our new house and we are finally unpacking those last annoying boxes; you know, the ones you wonder why you brought with you in the first place.

And this is just after a week. So if you are feeling low-energy and need a boost, would like the bonus of fitness (oh yes, you'll get muscle definition fast) and an increased metabolism, pick up Eight Minutes in the Morning by Jorge Cruise. And don't stop doing it!
