Daughter saves mother's life with CPR

Filed under: Just For Moms, Health & Safety: Babies, Media, Day Care & Education

Brittany Lacefield had a pretty intense final exam after her CPR class. Her 30-year-old mother, Kristin Lacefield, collapsed and went into something called ventricular defibrillation [I have defrib on the brain]. Brittany acted fast calling 911 and giving her mother chest compressions and breaths while her 6-year-old brother watched.

When emergency workers arrived they gave the mother two shocks with the automatic defibrillator and her heartbeat returned to normal. Brittany had learned CPR in her middle school health class.
