New Dad business cards from Event Bliss
Categories: Money & Work
I recently wrote about calling
cards for moms. One commenter asked if we knew of any calling cards for stay-at-home-dads. It turns out that the
folks at Event Bliss had Papa Calling Cards already in the works. Marlynn Jayme
Schotland, the mama of Event Bliss (and a son), let me know that the cards are now available in three styles - the Ethan, the Alain, and the David. I can't see a dad handing out the David design but I do like
the Ethan and the Alain. And like the mom calling cards, these are also pricey, starting at 100 cards for $50. But
they have a simple, clean design.Stay at home dads - what do you think of papa calling cards?

just want to point out that it's actually $50 for 100 cards, not the other way around :)

The cards are cute, but the price tag makes me woozy. Why not go to somewhere like VistaPrint and get them for free (with the VistaPrint logo on the back) or much much much cheaper? You can even upload a design for a marginal cost.
That said I am definitely on board with the whole 'mommy cards' or 'daddy cards' thing - I am just too embarassed to be the first one on my block to do it (just call me Lemming).

Actually, I just got my cards today from Marlynn and they're better than I expected - they are thick and feel laminated (although not as tacky) - and they're gorgeous. I can't wait to hand them out.

I, too, love the Mommy card concept, but paying $6 shipping for the free vista print cards is the max I'm willing to pay. I chose a layout with a lot of white space for jotting notes and directions and Vista print had a LOT of cute designs. They have nice quality cards, but then how hefty do they really need to be, when they're supposed to be post-it note substitutes?

There's an auction on Ebay running currently for both Mommy AND Daddy cards with some really cool designs. The price is pretty good.... $39.95 for 100 cards. It's at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6064852445
