Katie Holmes to remain silent during her newborn's first week of life

You may not have
noticed, but I comment very little on Katie Holmes' and Tom Cruise's Scientology faith -- frankly because I know very
little about it, and generally consider the practice of a religion a very private thing. I can't help but comment
on this latest news report, however, because I'm hoping and praying that this is actually the media getting the facts
all wrong:According to Femalefirst.co.uk, not only will Katie Holmes give birth silently, but she "has banned from speaking to her newborn for a week after it is born." The article continues: "Katie, who is due to give birth any day, has already promised Tom she will deliver the child in complete silence, and she will also have very little contact afterwards [emphasis mine]."
My comment: I hope this article actually dead wrong -- because I can't imagine having finally given birth, and then not being allowed to speak with or be near to my new baby.
Bless her. She must love Tom a lot.

I have always been leary of this "Religion". I had a close friend of the family lose her uncle to Scientology. He eventually committed suicide to escape the demand of the cult.
As for Katie and her baby... I believe Scientology has proven the power of it's inner workings... Being a mother to a seven month old son, I can talk about the critial moments you never get back in that first week of your childs life. There is nothing, short of the dye they use to scan your body, that would inhibit anyone from breastfeeding. It is even recommended that if the mother is going through Chemo and radiation therapy she continue to breastfeed for the benfits far out weight the cons.
This appears to be yet another method of control that Tom has over is incredibly nieve fiance. What can we say??? I hope someone shakes the girl and wakes her up to the reality that her life has become... Talk about FREAKY!!!
My thoughts are with any woman who has to be subjected to this kind of abuse,
Alexiis

kitty said...First, CORN SYRUP?, that'a a horrible product, even for adults. Barley? talk about creating allergies... What IDIOT would feed that to a newborne? And if he's so against legal pharmeceuticals, then why wouldn't he encourage Katie to breastfeed? MUSTY? breast milk musty? what? I hope that's not true, because if it is, Tom Cruise and his brain-dead girlfriend are more ignorant than I thought. Breastfeeding is what the creator intended. But of course, Iforget. Scientologists are THETANS.....LOL!!!!! Tom Cruise needs to take a nutrition course, and Katie Holmes needs to find herself, and stop allowing that CRETIN from leading her around by the nose. That poor baby. By the way, SURI is not a HEBREW word or name. In fact, its a type of LLAMA. I'm so sick of these two.
