Product Recall: Disney DVD players

Disney electronics is recalling Memcorp DP3500 Personal DVD Players because the battery pack is faulty. It could overheat and possibly burst when recharging. The company has received 17 reports of the batteries overheating with three minor injuries and three reports of minor property damage.

The DVD players were sold at discount and electronics stores nationwide, at Disney Theme Parks and in the Disney mail order catalog April 2005 and March 2006. There are five styles affected by this recall and the model numbers can be viewed at the CPSC's website. You should stop using the battery pack immediately and contact the company for a replacement battery and charger pack.
