People magazine is reporting
Brooke Shields has had her second child. The little girl, who's name is Grier Hammond weighed in at 7 pounds and was 20
inches long. Grier is the second child of Brooke and husband Chris Henchy. Their first daughter Rowan will be three next month.
I hope she's stocked up on vitamins as Mr. Cruise recommended. [/sarcasm]

I had a very, very mild case of baby blues after my first child was born and it was hell. I can only imagine what she and other moms that had/have PPD must go through.
I thought it was awful what Tom said about her but I thought she handled it with class and dignity. I hope she is able to skip past all that this time!

Charlotte said...That is a lovely photo of Brooke, Chris and Rowan. It makes me wonder though - why don't we ever see photos of celebrities' toddlers pitching a fit in public? Doesn't this happen to them?

The judgements heaped on them would be unbearable.

Meg said...There was a big spread in US Weekly once about Calista Flockhart's little guy having a tantrum, including shots of him pitching himself on the ground, knocking his head, and then weeping in his mother's arms, where he refused to be a moment earlier. The tone was actually really sympathetic, which shocked me, since as Melissa says, judgments tend to reign in the media.
But oh, OH for the day that Suri Cruise flips out in public. Oh, for the day.
