Premature baby weighs 14 pounds

Usually when I think of a premature baby, I think of a tiny little thing that barely fits into newborn diapers. That's not the case for a California baby, who was born one month early, weighing in at 14 pounds.

Little Olivia was born on March 22 and stayed in the hospital for a month while doctors monitored her heart and lungs. They did not have a medical explanation to her large size.

Doctors estimated that if Olivia had been born at term, she could have weighed 16 pounds.

My son weighed 13 pounds at two months and was a big boy. I couldn't imagine having that much baby in my belly!

My two were born weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces and 8 pounds, 6 ounces. If you have given birth, how big was your baby? If not, how big were you when you were born? Any "large" babies in your family?
