McDonald's and Disney dissolve a mutually beneficial relationship

As noted on our sister site Slashfood, Disney and McDonald's will soon be going their separate ways. By the end of the summer the fast food chain will no longer be able to toss plastic 101 Dalmatian dogs or Pocahontas figurines into their Happy Meals. This is not anything that McDonald's initiated, the split is due to Disney's realization that fat laden food fried in grease does not represent the sort of family values the company desires. With childhood obesity at an all time high and quickly on the rise in our company, Disney wants to distance itself from the fast food giant.

This sort of divorce is a growing trend among large corporations. With Former President Clinton's recent initiative to remove sodas from the nation's schools and other similar steps by large organizations perhaps there will be a trend towards a more healthy conscience in our country.

The last promotional collaboration for both Disney and McDonald's will this summer's releases of "Cars" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."
