Goodnight, Cancer Baby

CancerBaby died yesterday. Thank you, Amy, for telling us. CancerBaby was thirty-three years old and cancer ravaged her and took her before she could have the one thing she wanted more than anything else in her life: A baby. It seems incredibly poignant to me that she died so close to Mother's Day.

Even though CancerBaby's health has been steadily worsening for the past several month, the support that she garnered on her blog never wavered. CancerBaby will be remembered for her humor, her honesty, her kindness, her spirit.

Her friend took over posting for her at the end. I don't know who she was, but she loved CancerBaby and her farewell post just about broke my heart.

Julia at Here Be Hippogriffs has a lovely tribute as well.

Goodnight, CancerBaby.
