McCreepy, Part Two
Categories: Babies, That's Entertainment
Update: Our own JD has confirmed that the ad, is in fact, a fake. Sorry about the confusion, everyone!Oh, McDonald's. You've done it again. First we post about how you're scaring all the children in India with a very disturbing ad.
Now, you're at it again, except this time you're doing it in Europe.
McDonald's is now showing an ad with a baby suckling at a hamburger bun. I agree with Fidget on this one, what exactly is McDonald's trying to tell us in this ad? That a McBurger is better than a breast? Or that babies really enjoy sesame seed buns?
Note to McDonald's: Please stop the creepy ads featuring babies.

Okay, I liked the fun clown one. I'm weird. But this one? Awful.

I forgot to mention that I think this is an older advertisement. It seems that I;ve seen it before, and not recently.

Yikes! I thought Europeans had stricter standards on false-advertising, advertising to kids and families, etc.
But they also have zany, outrageous taste when it comes to ads, so maybe they see this as joke and would never see it as anything otherwise. They are not as literal and gulliable we are in the US, so these images are just freaky and funny?

the only reason I can imagine that this was viable advertising in Europe is due to the generally healthier population. Here we are hyper sensative to foo dissues as obesity has become such a problem. Fat or thin i think the implied message is disgusting.
It *is* an older ad but i was so utterly aghast i had to blog about it.
Does anyone else think McD's is batting ZERO for advertising no matter where they do it? I'm reaoly not loving ANY of teh ads they run here

Wouldn't he/she be apt to choke on the sesame seeds?
In the USA, that would be lawsuit time if anyone were silly enough to feed their baby a big mac.

I've seen that before and IIRC, it is not a real McD's ad. It believe it was used in some sort of anti-establishment, pro-breastfeeding something or other. Lots of help, I know, but it's not real.

To the previous poster...you are par for the course. It is an anti-ad.
Yes, Europeans are healthier.
Yes, they have McDonalds.
No, you normally can't find a Big Mac on the menu in some spots. Go figure, unless you are on a military base...they follow strict U.S. standards there you know.
Anyway...just look a little closer and you get the meaning.
Kind of sad but true.
