Blogging Baby Time Warp: Our best posts from a year ago
Categories: Pregnancy & Birth, Health & Safety, Development
It's Wednesday night and I have a couple of great stories from this week last year at Blogging Baby to share with you all:
- This week last year, Kimberly Robinson and Jeanne LoCicero's daughter, Vivian Ryan LoCicero, was born April 30 after Robinson was inseminated using sperm from an anonymous donor. Both moms, who were registered as domestic partners in 2003, were listed as mothers on the birth certificate, giving LoCicero the same parental rights as if she had adopted Vivian.
- This week last year, Thomas E. Jones Jr. of Indiana and his soon-to-be-ex wife both agreed that their child will be raised within the structure of Wicca, a polytheistic Pagan faith that emphasizes the existence and equality of both a Goddess and a God, and encourages respect for Mother Earth but their judge, Cale J. Bradford put a line in their divorce decree stating that they were forbidden from raising their child in the Wiccan faith.
- Dale and Darren Chalk, who had welcomed quadruplets in 2004, announced that they were pregnant with quadruplets again. The couple also have a two-year-old daughter which means that they will have nine children under the age of three when the second quadruplets are born. And I worry about having another set of twins.
- And it's been a year now, that Tom Cruise has declared a public war on psychiatrists, stating that they are ruinning our children.

How do the Chalks financially afford to support eight children on the salary of a cab driver? Are the taxpayers of Australia footing most of the bill?

The Chalk quads are doing extremely well. The first set of quads are now walking and muttering some words, they will be 2 on August 20th. The Second set of quads (surviving) are 7mths old and are starting to roll over. They will be 1 on October 7th. Shelby (big sister - 3) is a big helper (a mini me) she loves to baby them. They are all smiles and have a fantastic time with each other, they are the best of buddies. Milly (from the second set of quads) was stillborn at 30wks. We had the most beautiful funeral for her. And miss her every day. Darren works and studdies to be a teacher, I am also studying BA Laws (one day hopefullly to be a Barrister). The house is always very loud but they are all in bed by 4.50pm and up about 7am. (all the kids). Our renovations are finally complete and there is heaps of room for the little munchkins to runamuk.
P.s. We are in the New Idea (19 - 25th June)

(mum to 2 sets of quads and a singleton)

Dear Dale and Darren,
I just saw your story on Discovery Channel babies show. I just smiled and cried! I love babies and children, however, mine are all grown now. I just wanted to say that I commend you for taking on this role of parenting and seeing your story makes me wish I had been able to have a brood as yours! Hope all goes well with your latest pregnancy and I'll be looking forward to following your story with your lovely family! Cheers, Kimberly rileysgamma2006@yahoo.com
