Summer always means summer reading programs. Our local library offers a program that awards small prizes for every three hours of logged reading time for participating kids. But there are also site available online that offer fun reading and reading related activities. Dinosaur Webquest is one such site. Aimed at second grade level children, the site offers reading activities, downloads, worksheet papers and lots of cool pictures. I do the "personal incentives plan" on there, and let my kids earn things like a trip to the movies, an ice cream sundae, $5 at the toy store, etc.
