Paddington bear visits with marmalade sandwich

Can you imagine boarding your train for your early morning commute, all bleary and cantankerous - when who should appear in front of you but Paddington Bear and his marmalade sandwich? It must have made hundreds of commuters smile yesterday morning in London, when Paddington paid a visit to the famous train station after which he's named. Paddington will be attending the Children's Literature Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Sunday. 800 libraries across the United Kingdom will be taking part in a literary long weekend to encourage children to read for fun.
Other characters attending the party at Buckingham Palace will be the Jolly Green Giant and Winnie the Pooh. I like Paddington best. It's stories like these that make me want to live in England.
