Uma Thurman will not criticize "the father of her children"

Uma Thurman, the star of the new movie My Super-Ex-Girlfriend, is in the new issue of Parade Magazine -- but don't think you're going to get the skinny on why her marriage to Ethan Hawke failed by reading the article. Thurman, who refers to Hawke only as "the father of her children," refuses to criticize him. "I cannot participate in anything critical about my children's father," she said. "I just need to keep peace. I think it's fair to say that I haven't said one mean thing, and I'm not going to start now. It's terrible for my family."

Classy move on her part, I'd say. It can be really difficult not to vent about someone who's wronged you -- and to remember that doing so hurts your kids is the trick, isn't it?
