Uma Thurman will not criticize "the father of her children"
Filed under: Celeb Kids, Life & Style, Rumors, Media, That's Entertainment
Uma Thurman, the star of the new movie My Super-Ex-Girlfriend, is in the new issue of Parade Magazine -- but don't think you're going to get the skinny on why her marriage to Ethan Hawke failed by reading the article. Thurman, who refers to Hawke only as "the father of her children," refuses to criticize him. "I cannot participate in anything critical about my children's father," she said. "I just need to keep peace. I think it's fair to say that I haven't said one mean thing, and I'm not going to start now. It's terrible for my family." Classy move on her part, I'd say. It can be really difficult not to vent about someone who's wronged you -- and to remember that doing so hurts your kids is the trick, isn't it?

But seriously. I've always like Uma (and not just because she's fabulously hot when she slices someone's head off with a sword).

Jamie said...Well I can now say my 70-year-old mom and Uma Thurman have something in common because my mom refers to my dad as "the father of my children," but won't refer to him as her "ex-husband." I thought it was a Southern Baptist thing, though. ;)

Eden said...Uma is the kind of actress who can get magazine covers w/o scooping out dirt on her former spouse. Take that Hillary Swank, Jennifer Aniston, etc. ;)
