Water aerobics good for pregnancy back pain
Filed under: Your Pregnancy
During my first pregnancy, I quickly realized (thanks to my new large and painful set of breasts) that running was out for me. Instead, I took up swimming at the local YMCA to keep in shape. Turns out that I might have been helping myself ease back and pelvic pain.A study of 390 pregnant woman showed that water aerobics can help ease low back pain during pregnancy.
According to the study, healthy women that did water aerobics once a week said they had less back pain and missed less work due to the lower back pain compared with women that exercised on land.
Personally, I found that floating around in the water made me feel much better during pregnancy; it helped ease all that extra weight I was carrying.

The only bad part, within 3 weeks of my sessions being over the pain has returned and now I have pains in my hips and pelvic area as well. I can almost gaurantee if I had the money to continue sessions the pain wouldn't be like this. I recommend any woman to ask your doctor about trying this if you get these pains! If I had a pool I would definately be continuing the water exercises.
