Reports that singer Marie Osmond had ended up in the emergency room had gossipers saying the singer had tried to commit suicide.

Osmond's spokeswoman says that is not the case, reporting that the mother of nine had an adverse reaction to prescription drugs. She was hospitalized after blacking out.

Osmond has been candid about her experiences with postpartum depression, even lashing out at Tom Cruise for his views on antidepressants.

Osmond, who lives outside Salt Lake City, is currently on vacation with her family.
