Photojojo Photo Rope

I'm in love. Only, it's a complicated, impossible love, one that cannot be consumated. You see, we have picture rails in most of our house. It's a strip of moulding that runs around the upper part of the wall to let you easily -- and non-destructively -- hang pictures. You get a hook, some picture wire, a picture frame, assemble it all, hang it, try to get it straight... Ugh. Way too much work for someone as lazy as I am. And yet, I have literally thousands of photos of Jared and Sara to display. What's a lazy dad to do?Photojojo to the rescue! They are offering this totally cool magnetic photo rope. You hang it from your picture rail, a nail, or just about anywhere else and use the eight tiny magnets to hold your pictures in place up and down its length. It doesn't have to be photos, either. It could be artwork, report cards, reminders, just about anything, so long as it's not too big, not too thick, and not too heavy. Best of all, they're not terribly expensive. Individual Photo Ropes are only $16, shipping included, and the cost goes down the more you buy. They do ship internationally too.
The only problem is that, after reading this story, I've developed a pretty severe case of magnetophobia. I'm terrified that one of the kids will find and swallow a couple of small magnets -- and this comes with eight of them. So my love will remain unrequited and my walls unadorned. Am I worrying too much, or is this simply far too dangerous to have in a house with two kids who still put things in their mouths?

Kim said...So when we discovered this sleek and simple photo rope, this non-rectangular, non-photo frame, we were pretty stoked.

anna said...is there a way to attach tiny alligator clips that you can find from a hardward store instead of magnets? perhaps you could even find wire at the hardward store as well for much cheaper...
