What did your child say or do today that made you laugh?

We all know that kids say the funniest things. Every day, my sons say or do something very small yet so spiritedly ridiculous it draws a smile on my face even during the hardest times. I believe these are the moments that most count, and that I want to remember for the rest of my life.
Sean: "Oh no mommy, look at all those people one behind the other!"
Me: "Yes, there are a lot of people, we'll have to wait for a bit"
Sean: "No! I don't want to wait!"
Me: "We have to wait Sean, I know you're tired but we have to wait and pay before we go"
Sean: "No! Mommy, now I'm going to get mad like French fries!"
Tell me, what did your kid say or do today that made you smile or laugh out loud?

I asked him his name and he said, "Elmo Buggy."

My 5 YO son "wrote me a note" today. He made a smiley face and wrote his name. Then he asked me to help him draw a heart and write "Love, Mom". hee hee

I was reading "Moo Baa La La La" to our 20 month-old, when I got to the last page, which reads "It's quiet now. What do YOU say?". And he looked at me with a big grin and said, "NO!".
He speaks truth.

"It's STUCK!!!", referring to the tail which is, in fact, firmly attached to our large (and very patient) dog's butt.

We passed a couple of stray dogs while driving to school this morning, and I told my 2 1/2 year old that the puppies were lost. So he said "they should ask a policeman for help!"

Baby A (26 mos) did the "Mommy, guess what? Chicken butt!" thing to me just an hour ago. Yes, my husband taught her that. Refined, isn't it?
The other hilarious thing she's doing is whenever we pass the sign for Mellow Mushroom restaurant, which has a smiling cartoon mushroom character on it, she starts cracking up and shouts,
"Mommy, that crazy boy needs to go find his mommy! He needs to go to the potty and go pee-pee and poop! Hahahahaha! Crazy boy! Go find the potty!"
Why? Yes, it's mysterious. Best I can figure is the mushroom character has a bunch of little mushrooms at the base of its, uh, stalk. Maybe she thinks those are turds. ? Again, refined, I know. Bathroom humor at two.
Isn't it nice when they give us a reason to laugh—especially given life with a rambunctious two-year-old?

The teacher's aide in my daughter's first grade class came up to me today while I was helping out in the cafeteria and told me a funny story about my daughter. The school is having a "walk-a-thon" to raise money for PTA sponsored activities and the teacher was telling them that they needed to wear yellow shirts to school today because they were "Mrs. B's Bees." A lot of the kids were saying that they didn't have yellow shirts, should their moms or dads buy them yellow shirts [no], and my daughter piped up and said, "Yellow isn't my color."
Yep. Fashionista at six!

Today my four-year-old said, "Mrs. Soandso looks like an EGG!"
And she does. Come to think of it.

I just got home from class and walked upstairs. I almost stepped on my toddler, who apparently thought dragging her pillow, blankie, & teddy into the middle of the hallway for a sleepover was a good idea! She looked so darned cute I almost didn't want to move her!

While trying to fall asleep, my 1 1/2 yo son was tiredly and earnestly singing (imagine eyebrows raised and very serious look) "-ite, -ite, -ite,...app-y, app-y". I didn't get it at first, but he was singing "I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas." He puts the "y" on the end of everything even though we don't talk to him that way.
He just gets cuter every day...
