Britney's pregnancy weight loss unnatural?

I had to look twice when I saw this picture of Britney Spears. The headline notes that she lost 26 pounds in a little over a month, with no trainer and no pills. The rapid weight loss itself is not that incredible. I lost 30 of my 60 pounds gained in the first month after I gave birth, a combination of round-the-clock breastfeeding, exhaustion, and not getting to eat because my baby's appetite took precedence. Perhaps it's the same scenario with Britney, although the article notes that diet and exercise are factors rather than natural factors. Comments on the US Weekly post also speculate that perhaps Britney had a tummy tuck while she was under the knife. I'm not sure myself, I'm kind of distracted by that ugly sweater.

it's about time people start respect her for how she is she's a young mother she's beautifull she's nice and down to earth and a very taltented superstar. so those stupid people how don't like seein her in good shape and being happy with kevin and come her just to say silly things like(she's a bad mother or she can't sing)just ignor them we know she's happy and she can sing so let's be supportive to our star it's about time 4 her 2 make her huge comeback i just can't wait.

Some people just lose weight easily after birth, especially when they are young. I lost 16lbs just giving birth to my 2nd child, and was skinny in shorts & a halter top by the time he was 2w old. Everyone commented that I couldn't have just had a baby!
I wish it was so easy now...

I'm just happy to see a size 8 touted as "thin" by Hollywood and the media. Usually, magazines liken size 8 to morbidly obese or something.
I don't really think a 26 pound weight loss in a month after having a baby is unusual. Especially is she was retaining water.

She looks so happy for the first time in quite a while. She probably feels like a million baucks after being pregnant for so long. Before we found out she was pregnant last time, remember everyone picking on her because she stayed chubby? Now, she lost the weight in a hurry, and everyone is STILL picking on her. I feel a little sorry for her. She can do no right.

Maybe the sweater vest hides a bit of leftover tummy bulge? It's not my taste either, but I think she at least looks relatively normal in this picture. She may have had a tummy tuck, but she also bounced back quickly the first time.
I also agree with the others that 26 pounds in the first month post partum is not really newsworthy.

I DON'T FIND HER WEIGHT LOSS SO UNSUAL, WHEN I HAD MY SON I LOST EVERY BIT OF IT & THEN SOME,(HE WAS A PREMMIE) WITH MY DAUGHTER I LOST MOST OF IT IN THE HALL OF THE HOSPITAL, I ALMOST HAD HER BEFORE THE DRS. GOT ME TO DELIVERY & MOST OF THAT WEIGHT WAS WATER WEIGHT, I EAT A LOT OF SALT SO I WAS RETAINING QUITE A BIT. I WAS A VERY ACTIVE PERSON SO TO GET THAT EXTRA BIT PLUS TONE & TRIM, WASN'T HARD AT ALL!

My goodness do people forget you lose around 20lbs just by HAVING the baby. It's totally normal to lose that in the first month. and i recall how many people thought i looked thinner than i was because they were so used to seeing me big anf pregnant. maybe people are overreacting because she is thin but anyone who has had a baby knows it just takes time for your body to go back to normal, hips, ligaments, swelling! Britney looks great and I hope she feels it!

It is about time that these tabs start building her up instead of putting her down all the time she has walked wrong. Good Work Brit, I know what it is like to have 2 so close together, with changing diapers, breast feeding, feeding Sean and running after him. No wonder she dropped the weight so quick and, if she did have a few muscles pulled down so what I did too. You do girl and keep doing what ever it is your doing because it is working for ya. And this is for all you forhogs out there and yes you know who you are, le Brittney & Kevin just be parents with out you nosie lens's in their faces all the time. NO ONE is a perfect mother no one. I let both my oldest one and, middle child fall in the bath with me holding them, when they are soaped up they are slippery buggers all I can say if thank God for fiberglass!!!!!!

Personally I dont care about her or her husband.Good news or bad news.Its a dead horse now.She hasnt had any music out in a few years and her husbands was a flop.I dont care how many kids she has or if she weighs 300pnds.

I'm 56 and don't know Britney Spears, just the gossip I read. (and boy is there a lot of it). What I do know is that she is very young, probably in a bad marriage and has looked depressed since the first child was born.
I only hope people are kinder to her now and realize that she needs a little support. She seems vulnerable to me. She needs to take care of herself as well as her babies.

Can I ask, who cares? Really, is the most important thing on everyone's mind how Britney lost weight? I think people need to read more NEWSpapers and less gossip/supermarket tabloids. There's a whole world out there with actual important things going on that don't revolove around who in Hollywood lost weight or is cheating with someone else's spouse.
Come on people, get a life.

oh come on guys. anyone who has had to lose weight knows how hard it is. she has done good and i hope she keeps it up. she was a good entertainer and great singer and i hope she will be back soon with a hit record.

I can say from experience that being preggers for that long can make anyone feel miserable. So I can understand why she has that big grin on her face....she finally has her body to herself for the first time in nearly 2 years. My son was 6 months old when I found out I was pregnant again. I swear it felt like I was pregnant forever...both boys were by C-sec like Brit..and I bounced back MUCH fast after my second one. The first c-sec terrified me. And so what if she did have a tummy tuck. Go for it sister! If I could have had one right there on the table (right after they tied my tubes)...I would have done it too! LOL

SHE HAS been working out WITH A TRAINER! I am not usre where your site has been misinformed but she HAS in fact been working with a trainer quite often. Up to 5 times a week.

Anyone who's had a baby and breastfeed for the first month can tell you that it's so easy to lose the pregnancy weight. After having my first baby, I lost 20 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Being a milk machine 24/7 burns more calories than you can take in. It's hard NOT to lose weight. Britney looks great -- wish I could say the same about her sweater.

I would just like to congrat Brit on her second child and tell her not to let the tabloids affect her. She is a wonderful person and lucky to have talent. we the public should be happy she shared it with us. SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO SHARE HER PERSONAL LIFE....She is human.THE PUBLIC SHOULD STOP BUYING TRASH TALKING TABLOIDS.Did'nt their mothers ever teach them that if they have nothing nice to say they should zip it?
