Enhance your kid's room with cool wall art

Categories: Newborns, Babies, Toddlers, Preschoolers, Baby essentials, Kid decor & style

Not everyone likes the pink room with teddy bears motif, but I think that a kids' room can be stimulating and age appropriate without being over-the-top cutesy. My son's room is painted sunshine yellow (a big tree tends to make his room dark) and has super cool truck and dinosaur silkscreens made at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh by those famous artists, Mom and Dad. (They let you try your hand at being hometown hero Andy Warhol in the studio of the museum.) I'm a firm believer that graphic art in primary colors is good for children.

So when momtrepreneur Valerie Lecoeur of Zoë b sent us an email about these gorgeous Mimi'lou wall decals, I had to tell you all about them. Even the hippest of hipster parents will have a hard time finding fault with these amazing transfers. Imported from France, (you might not yet know that I'm a France-aholic) they come in a variety of styles and are easily removed should you grow tired of them.

Best of all, if you email Zoë b two portraits of your child (with mouth closed) they will create personalized wall art of your little monkey. It's very tempting. I might have to get one over my desk at the office to help ease my missing Nate all day. (Well, I don't miss him while I'm having my coffee and reading emails, but for boring conference calls it would be nice.)
