The holidays make for a hard time to separate, even if you're famous

For the most part I try not to be a celebrity monger. Sure I read the headlines in the checkout line and i enjoy the occasional E! show, but I try not to make it my life's work. However, there are a few stars who seem to be human and strike a chord within me. Reese Witherspoon is one such celebrity. It seems sad that not only is Witherspoon experiencing the end of a marriage that was often deemed as wholesome and grounded, she is going through it publicly and during the holiday season. It sounds as though she has her family to help her cope. I hope Ms. Witherspoon can find peace during the holidays and show her kids that life goes on strength can be found from within.

Stacie said...I'd suspect the Witherspoon separation actually occurred awhile ago -- outside of the public eye. I know a former couple, politically prominent, who waited until all of the actual separation/grieving/etc. was done (or as done as possible) to announce their divorce publically. That way, they didn't have to deal with both the logistics/emotions of the divorce, and the publicity of it, at the same time.
Not that your first holiday after a split is easy, in any case.
