Dakota Fanning wants to direct

Filed under: Celeb Kids, Life & Style

When I was twelve, I wanted to be a writer, a lawyer, a ballerina, and the Prime Minister. I am glad we're not tied to our childhood dreams.

Some kids have goals that are a little more realistic, including child actress Dakota Fanning, who is almost 13 (Side note: this blows my mind. I am still coming to terms with the fact that McCauley Culkin isn't six) She hopes to be a movie director one day.

Dakota Fanning, star of the new "Charlotte's Web", told Time magazine editors that she's "learned a lot from watching directors" and that "she would love to have that (director-actor) relationship."

Dakota has always seemed so sweet and intelligent in all her interviews. I suspect this is one girl who might get what she hopes for, and that would probably be a good thing.
