We thank you God for the world so sweet, We thank you God for the food we eat, We thank you God for the birds that sing, We thank you God for everything.

This prayer is done to "superman" theme music.
Hold arms to the right and say (sing): Thank you God for giving us food,
Now to the left: Thank you God for giving us food
Now to the center and swing arms right and left: (center) Our daily bread (start swinging) that we are fed
fists on hips belt out: Thank you God for giving us food!
Big finish, stomp feet and/or smack table with hands to tune: (don don don don)

This prayer is done "super hero" style. It make the family smile and laugh, and gets a few looks when done in public. LOL :o)

I teach 3 and 4 year old preschool classes and before snack time we say, "God is great, God is good. Thank Him for our food today. Amen." It's quick and easy and the kids learn it easily.

I have 2 that I remember from Childhood - we still say the 2nd one today.

#1 - God is great, God is good, let us thank him for our food. Amen (really easy for kids to remember!)

#2 - Bless us O lord for these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I worked in daycare for 6 years and have had several different prayers but my favorite(and my kids too)

The kids learned it quick and at home when we pray my daughter always picks it.

This one is better for older kids.

My kids learned the Johnny Appleseed song at preschool, and it is very very cute:
Oh, the Lord's been good to me
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me the things I need the sun, and the rain and the apple seed
The Lord's been good to me. Amen.

I worked at a Christian based summer camp for four summers. Here's one of my favorites:

(Sung to the tune of The Flinstones)
Be present at out table
Lord be here and everywhere adored
These mercies bless and grant us

We also frequently blessed our food by singing the Doxology to the tune of The Lone Ranger or Chim Chiminy
