KidsClick! web search for kids

These days, Google reigns supreme in the search engine world, but even if you have "safe search" on, you can still end up somewhere you might not want to be. Or, your kids might end up somewhere they're not ready to be. Well, luckily, there are librarians in the world to help steer kids to appropriate materials relating to whatever subject they might be interested in.

Librarians are there for your kids on the internet too. KidsClick! is an internet portal developed by the librarians of the Ramapo Catskill Library System in New York. There are links in dozens of categories ranging from Art by Children to Zoos. All this and there are no ads -- "Since one of our beliefs is that providing an objective information service for children is not compatible with simultaneously targeting them with marketing, we do not accept advertising on the KidsClick! pages." If you've got kids who want to do research on the internet, this looks like a site worth bookmarking.
