Is K-Fed the better parent after all?

In an article that trounces the Hollywood trend of "throwaway children," journalist Andrea Peyser makes an interesting argument: between Britney and K-Fed, the latter is the better parent.
How could this be? The man is a borderline national embarrassment, right? Or, at least in this case, maybe that's a good thing. According to Peyser: "Maybe it's because he's a loser - one who is making a calculated joke on his status, appearing in a Super Bowl commercial as a lowly fry cook." Maybe, or perhaps the paparazzi aren't as interested in following around an ex-husband who won't be flashing anyone as gets out of limos.
But is it true? When you compare K-Fed to the "overprocessed, gum-snapping hair extension that is Britney," does he look like a decent father?

He seemed like such a loser when he was with Britney, but maybe she was the bad influence on him! Now that they are apart, she's out of control, and he's working again. Guess you never can tell, right?

What about his children from a previous marriage? I do not know the details, but I hear that he stopped visiting them when he hooked with Britney. That doesn't make a very good father.

Well.. his ex says he is a good father.
Maybe the money went to his head and now he is in reality. Britney seems to have a decent new guy... Maybe they are both actually decent parents.
Gum snapping and hair extentions dont effect parenting skills. At least, I hope not.
