Hannah Montana rocks!

I was raised in Houston, Texas, where the annual Livestock Show and Rodeo is a very big deal. This rodeo has been going on since 1932 and has hosted plenty of big-name performers: Elvis Presley, Cher and Garth Brooks to name a few. Earlier this month, Miley Cyrus, better known as Hannah Montana, set a new all-time record for attendance with more than 73,000 in the audience. To say she is popular would be an understatement.

If you have a young daughter, you are probably familiar her show, Hannah Montana. Miley stars as the title character, an average 14-year old girl dealing with normal adolescent issues; grades, boys, popularity. The twist is that she is living a double life as a secret pop-star who travels the world performing in a blond wig. It's a silly premise, but an entertaining show and little girls are eating it up. Adults like it, too. My mother has become a regular viewer since catching an episode while visiting us last year.

In real life, Miley is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, famous for his cheesy 1992 hit, Achy Breaky Heart (I am going to just admit it right here, right now: I like that song). He plays her father and manager on the show and is surprisingly good. But what I like most about Miley/Hannah is that she is actually a very talented girl. She's not just a pretty face in a vapid kid's show and I think she totally rocks!

I watch your show all the time and i was wondering how do you get to be on a show. Im 15 and my dream is to sing and act. I may not be as good as you but I realy want to try and not regret not trying because I realy realy want this dream and I would do any thing just to try and to show people what im made of and i want at lest to try. hey! miley whaz up? me and my frinds always sing your songs because we love your songs and we love you a lot. I mihgt go to one of your concert if you have 1 thats comeing up and if the tikets don't cost a lot I mihgt go. I never ben to a concert at all be for so I might go to yours.
