Coloring Rappers
Categories: Fun & Activities, That's Entertainment
The Sun is reporting on a disturbing coloring book (also available at Amazon) that features pictures of rappers, including, apparently, "50 cent" holding a gun aimed at the reader (colorer?). The cover shows a cut-away drawing of with a crayon in the chamber. It's unclear if all the pictures are like the two shown on the Sun's website or if those are the only two in that nature, but it seems to me that two violent images like that is about two too many. There are enough violent images in the world around us without having to include them in their coloring books. It saddens me that someone somewhere disagrees. I know my kids won't be getting a copy of this. Would you buy this for your kids?

Prior to becoming a parent I would have thought this was funny, and it might be if it was stuck off in an adult part of the bookstore. No way in hell would I get this for my kid, nor would I be too pleased if I found this in the children's section.

I have seen this before but everywhere I have ever seen it, it was in an adult setting. I believe this book is intended for adults only. While I would never buy anything like this for any child, I believe in their right to make it. I also would never buy a child a 50 cent album and such discretion I would think should be used for this as well. I see where it could be a problem since it is a coloring book, but I think any normal parent wouldn't buy it just on the cover alone. And if they would, I believe the coloring book will be the least of the problems.

I would love to buy this for my kids! It will give my kids something to shoot for and someone to look up to.
It will give them the great message that with a little work and even less talent, they can achieve the dream of grillz on their teeth and spinners on their car.
They can learn that by pulling a gat and bustin a cap in the proverbial ass of someone you disagree with will solve all your life's woes.
They can be enlightened with the knowledge that women like my wife are not people that should be respected, but merely bitches and ho's put on earth to shake their booties, pleasure their men and spend money.
They can revel in the glory of the gang culture that getting shot for some dumbass reason such as a "turf war" for land that you don't even own is not something that would thoroughly suck, but something that should be seen as a badge of respect.
They can help propagate the vital image of inner city black men as thugs and gangstas. For without it, this community would surely lose its identity and crumble.
They can bask in the delight of killing a mother who stupidly got caught in their crossfire during a shootout or a drive-by. Because honestly, what idiot would think they should be able to walk around safely in their own neighboorhood?
Oh yes...I will definitely be buying this coloring book for my kids.
Unless, of course, I remember to take my anti-dumbshit medication.

like the Cunt coloring book, and the human anatomy coloring book - I suspect it's not aimed at children.
