Help for traveling with kids
It's not easy to travel with a child -- especially if you have a particularly difficult little one, who's likely to get you kicked off an airplane (or a bus). Chances are, if you're reading this, you're the sort of person who turns to the wonderful Internets for answers to these sorts of vexing parenting problems.
Because the sheer volume of information out there can be overwhelming, Chloë Bryan-Brown of the Times Online has listed some sites she's found particularly useful in finding answers to her family travel questions.
She recommends Mumsnet, for the advice you'll find from real life parents -- also particularly useful for Americans traveling to the UK or Europe, as it's a UK-based website -- Tiny Tots Away, a shopping site that "helps cut down your baby baggage," Babygoes2, which is great for ideas on where to take the little ones, Take the family, because it's funny, and Baby-friendly boltholes for those of you interested in having access to a kitchen while on longer trips.
Where do you take your kids when you're looking for a family-friendly vacation? Any horror stories so the rest of us know what to avoid?

That's fine, but most Americans don't travel there with their kids until they are older (if at all, judging by the percentage of Americans with passports).
My favorite websites that help parents travel with kids here in North America are Gocitykids.com ( http://www.gocitykids.com ) for city breaks and Wejustgotback.com ( http://www.wejustgotback.com ) for family-focused reviews, advice and trip ideas. I also like Tripadvisor ( http://www.tripadvisor.com ) but the reviews aren't necessarily written by parents so it's hard to tell if a hotel that a 55-year-old single guy liked will work as well for your family.

I always struggle with the idea of traveling with little ones. My kids are very young and as much as I LOVE having time alone.....I also hate leaving them with anyone over night - even if it is Grandma and Grandpa. At the same time, there is nothing less ideal (in my mind) than "vacationing" with a toddler and infant!! So, I guess I'll just have to stick it out for a few years until I'm either so fed up that I don't mind leaving the kids for a few nights OR they're old enough to help out on the trip ;)
