Angelina to adopt again?
Categories: Adoption, Celeb Kids, Celeb Parenting, Rumors
Wait -- wasn't Angelina Jolie just in Vietnam about 5 days ago adopting a kid?
That's correct. But today, word 'round the Internets is that the actress plans to adopt a fourth child -- a girl from Chad who would "balance the family."
Meaning, that "Angelina and Brad want to make sure Zahara doesn't feel alienated as the only black face in the family," a source tells News24.com.
And it's true, in a recent interview, the star said: "Should you balance the races, so there's another African person in the house for Zahara, after another Asian person in the house for Mad? We think so."
But what do you think? The couple hopes their prospective 1-year-old daughter will be with them by the summer, but is that too soon? In a family with multiple adopted children from various ethnic backgrounds, does race even matter?

I think the Angelina adoption business is getting to be a bit ridiculous. I think she gets kids from other countries the way I buy handbags on eBay! It's an addiction of sorts...you plot which one you want....the best "deal".....how to justify it. The difference is - these are CHILDREN we're talking about!!! Does anyone else get the feeling that Shiloh gets shafted by her Mother? Hopefully Brad balances things out for her (shiloh).

You have to wonder whether she's trying to create a family, or simply on a mission. Is she interested in parenting (which would necessitate some sensitivity to the emotional needs of the children already in her family) or in simply saving as many children as possible? Either way, adopting that many kids, with dramatically different backgrounds and needs, in such a short period of time seems odd. I worry about Pax, who has had a lot of stress and loss in his life already, and who is surely cognizant that he's the odd man out, popping into the middle of the birth order as he does. I worry about Maddox, who probably gets the shaft, because Mom is always on to some new country/kid. I worry about Shiloh, who must seem boring and predictable and not all that interesting, in comparison to the drama and excitement of adopting a child from a foreign land. When Angelina Jolie started out by adopting Maddox, it seemed like she was genuinely interested in parenting and creating a family for herself and her son. Now her adoptions seem increasingly immature (Noah's ark, two by two comes to mind) and calculated for maximum p.r. value.
It's all a bit much, IMO.

I'm betting Zahara would just like some more one on one time from Mommy, without worrying which !@#!% flavor of the month new baby she is bringing home to take attention away from her. Never knew babies had to come in matched sets. After all it is personality, not race that affects how siblings get along. What if Maddox and Pax just don't get along, Does then another asian boy get thrown into the mix? How about two more so they can each have one they like? What if it is three against one??? AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think she is getting a bit out of hand. I agree with the comment that she seems to be more focused on "saving kids" than having a real family. And I've been worried about Shiloh since I read this quote from Angelina awhile back:
"I think I feel so much more for Mad and Z because they're survivors, they came through so much. Shiloh seemed so privileged from the moment she was born. I have less inclination to feel for her... I met my other kids when they were six months old, they came with personality. A newborn really is this... yes, a blob! But now she's starting to have a personality... I'm conscious that I have to make sure I don't ignore her needs just because I think the others are more vulnerable."
